Terms of Use - Adept AI

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Adept AI mobile application, published by Hot Restart ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using the application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

Description of Service

Adept AI is a personal learning and productivity application. It lets you keep notes, tasks, and reminders, follow learning paths, and use an AI assistant (the "Companion") that can explain topics, generate lessons and quizzes, summarize your notes, and help plan your day.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use online services, to use the application. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

User Accounts

You can use the application as a guest or create an account with email, Google, or Apple. Guest content is tied to the device session; if you lose access to it, we cannot restore it. By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Be responsible for activities that occur under your account

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Plans, Subscriptions, and Billing

Adept AI offers a free plan with usage limits (for example a daily AI allowance) and an optional paid subscription, Adept AI Premium, with higher limits and additional capacity. The current limits and prices are shown in the application before you purchase. We may adjust plan limits and features over time.

  • Subscriptions are sold on a monthly or annual basis and are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the application or your account does not cancel a subscription.
  • If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
  • Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through those stores.
  • If the price of a subscription changes, you will be notified in advance by the store as required by its rules.

AI Generated Content

The application uses artificial intelligence to generate explanations, lessons, quizzes, summaries, plans, and suggestions based on your input.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. It is provided for general information and study support and is not professional advice of any kind, including medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. You are responsible for verifying important information and for the decisions you make based on it.

User Content

You keep ownership of the notes, tasks, messages, recordings, documents, and other content you add to the application. You grant us a limited license to store, sync, and process that content solely to operate the service and provide its features to you, including sending relevant content to our AI provider to generate responses you request.

You are responsible for your content and for having the right to add any links, documents, or other material you provide. How we handle your content is described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the application to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations, or the rights of others
  • Generate or store content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, servers, or other users' data
  • Disrupt or interfere with the security or operation of the application
  • Circumvent usage limits, automate access, or resell the service
  • Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the application without prior written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Third-Party Services

The application relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and the Apple and Google app stores. Your use of sign-in and payment features is also subject to the terms of those providers. We are not responsible for third-party websites you add as sources.

Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the application, including its software, design, branding, characters, and content (excluding your content), are owned by the developer of Adept AI and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application in accordance with these Terms.

Service Availability

We strive to keep the application available and functional, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. AI features and syncing require an internet connection.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. You are responsible for keeping copies of any content that is important to you.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

You may delete your account at any time through the application settings or by contacting us via email. Account deletion permanently removes your content and cannot be undone. It does not cancel an active subscription, which must be cancelled in your store account.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from the use of or inability to use the application. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country.

App Store Terms

If you downloaded the application from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the application or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date will be revised.

Continued use of the application after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
