Terms of Use - Sizzle AI

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sizzle AI mobile application (the "App" or "Service"), provided by Semih Kucukpehlivan ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Sizzle AI uses artificial intelligence to create cooking recipes and recipe photos from the ingredients and requests you provide. The App also lets you keep a kitchen inventory and a shopping list on your device, receive optional reminders, and share recipes through your device's share menu. Premium users can scan photos of their fridge or pantry to add ingredients to their kitchen. The App is provided for informational and entertainment purposes.

Accounts and Guest Use

You can use the App as a guest or sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. A guest account is tied to your device: if you uninstall the App, your guest recipes and credits may be lost. Signing in keeps your recipes and purchases with your account.

You agree to:

  • Keep your sign-in account secure
  • Be responsible for activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised

Credits

  • Creating one recipe with its photo uses one credit.
  • Guests and signed-in free users receive a limited number of free credits. The amount and renewal schedule are shown in the App and may change.
  • Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are not refundable except as required by law or by the store's refund policy.

Premium Subscription

  • Sizzle AI Premium is an auto-renewable subscription available in monthly and yearly plans. The price and included monthly credits are shown in the App before you purchase.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Monthly Premium credits are granted at the start of each billing period. Unused Premium credits do not carry over to the next period.
  • Photo scanning is included with Premium and does not use credits. To keep the service available for everyone, it is subject to a fair-use limit.
  • Deleting the App or your account does not cancel your subscription.

Credit Packs

  • Credit packs are one-time (consumable) purchases available to active Premium subscribers.
  • Purchased pack credits do not expire, and they can be used while your Premium subscription is active. Premium credits are used first.
  • Because they are consumable, credit packs cannot be restored with "Restore Purchases".

Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests are handled by the store under its own policies: for the App Store at reportaproblem.apple.com, and for Google Play through your Google Play account.

AI-Generated Content

Recipes and photos are generated by third-party AI services (Anthropic and OpenAI) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs. Recipe photos are AI-generated illustrations and may not match the final dish.

Photo scanning may miss items, misidentify them, or estimate quantities incorrectly. Review the detected ingredients before adding them to your kitchen.

Allergies and health: the App tries to exclude the allergies and dietary restrictions you set, but it cannot guarantee that a recipe is free of any ingredient. Always check every ingredient and its labels yourself. The App does not provide medical, nutritional, or dietary advice; consult a qualified professional if you have allergies or health conditions.

Follow safe food handling and cooking practices. We are not responsible for any outcome of preparing or eating a recipe.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Request harmful, dangerous, illegal, or offensive content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or to bypass credit limits or security measures
  • Use automated means to access the Service or overload it
  • Disrupt or interfere with the security or operation of the App

We may refuse requests that violate these rules and may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the Service.

Your Content

You keep ownership of the text you enter and the photos you scan. You grant us a limited license to process them, including by sending them to our AI providers, solely to generate recipes, detect ingredients, and operate the Service. Only scan photos you have the right to use. You may use the recipes generated for you for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing them with others.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by the developer of Sizzle AI and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or exploit any part of the App without prior written permission.

Service Availability

We aim to keep the App available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. If we discontinue Premium, we will stop renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Account Deletion and Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your recipes and any remaining credits, and cannot be undone. It does not cancel an active subscription.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or of any recipe. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
